MEDICINE
A unique insight into the realities of a career in healthcare
IgnitED Medicine
From day one, participants dive into clinical skills, taking vitals, suturing, scrubbing in, and responding to simulated emergencies.
They spend time with the Integrated Simulation & Clinical Skills team at St Richard’s Hospital, collect live samples for a bacteriophage study, and explore how urban design impacts public health.
Alongside hands-on experience, participants tackle real-world healthcare challenges: creating sustainable systems and designing AI tools for patient care.
It all builds toward Friday’s Innovation Lab, where teams pitch bold new healthcare ideas.
Over five days, we explore medicine as a career and as a dynamic system that’s practical, ethical, environmental, and human.
