ENGINEERING

A practical window into thinking and working as an Engineering professional

IgnitED Engineering Careers Mentoring Programme

IgnitED Engineering introduces young professionals to the wide variety of specialisms and fields within Engineering, through a hands-on understanding of what it means to think and work like an engineer.

Throughout the week, participants reverse-engineer everyday objects, practise modelling techniques, and explore how those in roles across the engineering landscape work to positively impact daily life.

They explore key engineering disciplines and enjoy several impactful workplace visits, to organisations working across different fields engineering where participants will see how professionals solve problems using design, data, and real-world tools.

Across five days, students come to see engineering as more than technical problem-solving, it’s a creative, systems-based approach to improving the world around us.
